Jump Postmortem

Post Mortem:

After making this game, I found many successes. For example, after spending a lot of time, I debugged all the codes, and then I also understood the functions represented by these codes, and I could write these codes myself. Secondly, I think I have a good control over the difficulty and evolution of the five levels. The idea of the whole game is relatively clear except for some details that were not well thought out at the beginning of the idea.

Regarding the failure of the game, first of all, I should make a more detailed conceptual differentiation after determining the theme, because after spending a lot of time writing distance checking code, I found that this may not be used in my game. After I finish all levels. So I think I spent some unnecessary time.

I really need to draw a detailed system diagram when considering the content of the game in the future, so as to avoid unnecessary time wasted, resulting in no time to make this game more perfect.

If I have more time to continue developing this game, first of all I will unify the overall image style. I like this simple and interesting stick figure style. But in this production, I didn't have time to paint 7 backgrounds with the same style. This is one point that I am not satisfied with. Another point is about background music. I think I have an advantage in music production and understanding, but I didn't have enough time to make different background music for different levels of scenes. And I also hope that I have more time to learn more codes to improve the entire game. For example, I initially wanted to make an infinite map level (at least a loop that could not be discovered by the player), but I finally did not have time to complete this Scenes.
